TRAINING COURSE FOR BOAT LEADERS CERTIFICATE CATEGORY A

Training duration:
6 hours (2 times 3 hours) + 1h repetition before the exam
Exam application and arrangement
The goal of this course is to train the candidates to handle and sail the boat up to 7 (seven) meters in length and up to 15 KW (20 HP) in next areas of navigation:
-
Area of navigation up to III a or 6 Nm from the coast, which includes sailing in internal sea waters, territorial waters of Republic of Croatia and waters that are accessible from the sea
-
Area of navigation IV which includes sailing in ports, bays and rivers of the Adriatic basin
A candidate witch turned 15 years of age can take the exam for the Boat leaders certificate Category A.
A candidate trained in Boat leaders certificate Category A can:
-
Sail the boats for recreational needs up to 7 (seven) meters and up to 15 KW (20 HP) in the navigational area III a, III b, III c, and IV.

Be a member of crew on a passenger boat in the area III b,
-
Be a member of crew on a fishing boat or a cargo vessel in the area III

Exam application and arrangement
TRAINING COURSE FOR BOAT LEADERS CERTIFICATE CATEGORY B
The course gives the right to sail:

All recreational personal boats (up to 30 BT) and up to 12 Nm from the coast
-
Passenger boats up to 3 Nm from the coast or islands
-
Cargo vessels and fishing boats up to 3 Nm
-
Yachts up to 30 BT (gross ton)
-
Charter yachts up to 30 BT without crew
A candidate witch turned 16 years of age can take the exam for the Boat leaders certificate Category B, but until 18 is limited to maximum 15 KW.
A candidate trained in Boat leaders certificate Category B can:

Sail recreational boats in the navigational area III and IV,
-
Sail cargo and fishing boats in the area III and IV,
-
Sail passenger boats in the navigational area III b, III c,
-
Sail yachts up to 30 BT for recreational use in the navigational area III and IV
-
Sail charter yachts up to 30 BT which are rented without crew in navigational areas III and IV
-
Be a member of crew on recreational, cargo or fishing boat in the area III and III a
-
Be a member of crew on a passenger boat in the area I and II
-
Be a member of crew on a yacht from 30 to 100 BT regardless of use and navigational area
